Youth Pastor: Shannon Smith

Shannon came to Cheonan in August of 2008 with the full intention of staying one year, then returning to the U.S.  After living here for a few months, she really began to enjoy experiencing the Korean culture, spending time with the friends she made here, and teaching elementary school students.  Shannon grew up in Virginia in the USA and attended Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA) where she she studied Religion with a focus on Biblical Studies.  She is passionate about cross-cultural ministry and reaching out to youth and children.  One of her favorite parts of the week is volunteering at the local children's home, where she tutors and hangs out with elementary, middle school, and high school boys.  She also enjoys reading books, watching reality TV shows, babysitting, and being a part of the music team at church.  Shannon joined the pastoral staff as a youth pastor in 2010.
